SBI Holdings Invests in Fasset and Signs MoU on Stablecoin Remittance Infrastructure

SBI Holdings said it completed a strategic investment in global stablecoin payments and crypto trading platform Fasset in May 2026 and signed a memorandum of understanding between its international remittance unit, SBI Remit, and Fasset to jointly build a next-generation cross-border remittance infrastructure based on stablecoin technology.

According to ChainCatcher, the information was reported by CoinPost.

Fasset operates a digital banking business focused on Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, offering stablecoin settlement, remittances, and investment services through its proprietary payments network, Own Network. The company said it covers 125 countries and regions and has more than 2 million users.

Fasset also said it completed a $51 million Series B financing round in the same month, with investors including the SBI Group, Bahrain-based asset manager Investcorp, and Turkey’s Arz Portföy.
