On June 6, the Federal Bureau of Investigation recently said that "work-from-home" job ad scams are on the rise. Scammers will actively call or text potential victims to offer a relatively simple job, such as rating restaurants or "optimizing" service by repeatedly clicking buttons. The victim will then be directed to pay cryptocurrency to the fake employer to "unlock" more jobs and lead to the loss of assets.
