ATFX Global Chief Market Strategist Nick Twidale said he expects the U.S. dollar to weaken over the next few trading sessions. According to Odaily, Twidale said risk currencies such as the Australian dollar and Japanese yen may see modest gains, but he does not expect large swings.
Twidale said uncertainty remains over when the strait will reopen and how long it will take for oil flows to return to normal. He said the process would take months rather than weeks.
He added that he does not expect oil prices to return to $70 soon.
