HKEX Managing Director and co-head of IPO vetting Liu Ying said some recent listing applicants have met the Securities and Futures Commission’s requirement that listing documents total no more than 300 pages, but their prospectuses lacked some required information, according to Ming Pao.

The SFC issued a circular in late January after concerns over the quality of sponsors for newly listed stocks in Hong Kong, and Liu made the remarks at the 2026 HKEX Future Summit.
