Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko publicly rejected Sen. Bernie Sanders’ warning that AI and robotics could wipe out millions of American jobs. In a June 7, 2026 post, according to BeInCrypto, Sanders said Congress is failing workers due to AI industry money and renewed his call to ban super PACs.
Yakovenko responded with a series of posts defending markets, profit and decentralized finance (DeFi), arguing capital is not hoarded wealth and saying profitable markets will be rebuilt as smart contracts. Leading the Future, an AI super PAC network backed by OpenAI president Greg Brockman and Andreessen Horowitz, raised $125 million in late 2025 and pledged at least $100 million for the midterms. Solana (SOL) traded at $65.36, up nearly 6% in 24 hours.
