The NEAR Foundation announced that the NEAT protocol has been backed by a pledge of 1 million NEAR tokens for scaling artificial intelligence applications on NEAR. The NEAR token rewards generated by all staking will be redistributed to NEAT holders, with an expected annualized return of approximately 120-200%.
This move by the NEAR Foundation is to support artificial intelligence and blockchain projects on NEAR and to promote the wider integration of artificial intelligence with blockchain technology.
NEAT is the first Rollup extension to receive official support from the NEAR Foundation and will use the funds to appeal to a broader client base.
