5月27日消息，Consensys 高级法律顾问兼全球监管事务总监 Bill Hughes 在接受采访时表示，美国证券交易委员会（SEC）很可能会根据投资者保护法对 ETH 进行归类。2023 年 10 月，SEC 允许基于以太坊的期货 ETF 在证券交易平台交易。这意味着期货合约所基于的资产不是证券。从那时到现在发生了一些事情，这似乎导致 SEC 改变了立场。
