Ethereum Layer2 Taiko, which has been in development since 2022 and has gone through seven testnets, has now launched on the mainnet. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin proposes to build the first block on the Taiko mainnet, with metadata containing the names of each Taiko core contributor.
Taiko tokens are expected to be launched a few weeks after the mainnet goes live. In addition, Taiko plans to launch a points incentive program called Trailblazers, which will attract communities by rewarding them for completing tasks and interacting with the network.
