Grab partners with StraitsX to develop Web3 wallet and stablecoin settlement system

On November 18th, South East Asia ride-hailing giant Grab and Singapore-based stablecoin payment infrastructure provider StraitsX have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly explore the construction of a Web3 wallet and stablecoin-based settlement layer in Asia. The partnership plans to integrate the Web3 wallet function into the Grab app, enabling users to hold and use stablecoins such as XSGD and XUSD for transactions, while allowing GrabPay merchants to accept stablecoin payments from local and overseas consumers.
