On October 7, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that at the invitation of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Li Qiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Premier of the State Council, will lead a Chinese party and government delegation to attend the 80th anniversary celebrations of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea from October 9 to 11 and pay an official goodwill visit to North Korea.
