According to Blockspace, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted a surprise inspection of the Lonestar Dream bitcoin mining site in Pyote, Texas, on September 29, targeting an ASIC repair center operated by Bitmain affiliate ADW Tech.
The law enforcement operation involved ICE, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), among other government agencies. Witnesses at the scene said law enforcement officers used helicopters, snipers and other equipment, and about 12 to 13 people were taken away in the raid, most of them Chinese citizens with expired visas.
