Judge William Alsup of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California ruled on the 12th that the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's previous directive requiring federal agencies to fire probation period employees on a large scale was illegal. The ruling said that the Office of Personnel Management has no right to instruct other agencies to fire probation period employees, and its directive and the dismissal pursuant to the directive violate the Administrative Procedure Act. The preliminary injunction issued by the judge in the case was confirmed as a permanent injunction. If the defendant does not agree with the relevant ruling, he can appeal. (CCTV News)
