On September 13, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce said that recently, the US government has generalized the concept of national security, abused export control and "long-arm jurisdiction", and maliciously blocked and suppressed China's chip products and artificial intelligence industries, seriously violating WTO rules and damaging the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises. China firmly opposes this. The anti-dumping investigation was initiated in response to an application by China's domestic industry, in line with Chinese laws and regulations and WTO rules. The investigation involves general-purpose interface and gate driver chips imported from the United States. The preliminary evidence submitted by the applicant shows that from 2022 to 2024, the import volume of products applied for investigation from the United States increased by 37%, and the import price decreased by 52%, which depressed and suppressed the sales price of domestic products and caused damage to the production and operation of domestic industries.
