Analysts: US PPI in August will be more closely watched than ever

US Treasury yields edged higher in Asian trading as markets awaited the August PPI, due on Wednesday, and the CPI, due on Thursday. "This time, the PPI will be more closely watched than ever, not only because it preceded the August CPI, but also because the previous July data significantly beat expectations," Emilie Herbo, an analyst at Danske Bank Research, said in a note.
