Aster DEX has announced the upcoming launch of its native token, $ASTER, which will be used to decentralize governance, drive growth, reward participation, and support protocol sustainability. APX token holders can upgrade their existing tokens to $ASTER at a specified exchange ratio. The upgrade page will go live on September 17, 2025 (the same day as the token generation event TGE). APX DAO holders can unlock veNFT to redeem for APX on September 16 without penalty, and subsequently convert to $ASTER at the same ratio. It is worth noting that the rewards for APX DAO will end on September 11. The specific schedule will be announced through the official Aster X account.
