The White House said on Thursday that a deal between Intel Corp and Mr. Trump to sell a 10 per cent stake to the US government was still under discussion. Mr. Levitt, the White House press secretary, said the deal was being put in place by the commerce department. "The details of the Intel deal are still being worked out by the commerce department," Mr. Levitt said. "The details are still being worked out and are still under discussion." A White House official added that some parts of the deal, particularly the defence department's $3 billion "Secure Enclave" programme, had not yet been fully implemented. Intel's CFO told an investor conference on Thursday that the company had received $5.70 billion in cash as part of the deal on Wednesday evening.
