Former St. Louis Federal Reserve President: Cook mortgage affair should take longer to ferment

Mr. Bullard, the former St Louis Fed chairperson, said the public allegations surrounding Fed governor Cook and Mr. Trump's threat to fire her if she did not resign were "confusing to me" and that Mr. Cook was entitled to due process. "You can bring any charges against anybody," he said in an interview. "And the people can respond and the Department of Justice can decide what they want to do. So I think it should take longer to ferment before that happens. Otherwise it's kind of like the lawless west."
