Tron blockchain founder Justin Sun has sued Bloomberg and is seeking a temporary restraining order, accusing it of publishing false and private financial information on its billionaire list.
Mr. Sun's profile in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index released on Monday "publishes inaccurate data that seriously and dangerously misrepresents Mr. Sun's assets," his representative said in a blog post on Tuesday.
Sun claimed to have sent a cease-and-desist letter to Bloomberg on August 2 aimed at blocking the public release of his cryptocurrency holdings, but Bloomberg confirmed that the article would still be published. Sun said in a blog post on Tuesday that the report blamed him for the cryptocurrency holdings "while he never owned, controlled or had any actual interest and did not report his actual cryptocurrency holdings". In his complaint, he claimed that disclosing his cryptocurrency holdings "would cause significant damage" and put him at "significant risk of theft, hacking, kidnapping and personal injury to himself and his family".
