Aug. 5 (Reuters) - European Union officials said Tuesday that the 15 percent tariff on European Union goods entering the United States is all-inclusive and includes the most-favored-nation rate, unlike some other countries that have agreements with the United States. The 15 percent rate applies to all goods except steel and aluminum, the official said. Currently, tariffs on pharmaceuticals and semiconductors are zero, but if those goods are raised as a result of the U.S. 232 investigation, the tariffs will also not exceed 15 percent. The 15 percent cap also applies to cars and auto parts. There are no quotas or restrictions on cars and auto parts.
