China Electromechanical Chamber of Commerce: Oppose unfair competition and maintain the high-quality development of foreign trade in the photovoltaic industry

On August 5th, the China Chamber of Commerce for Mechanical and Electrical Products issued an initiative on opposing unfair competition and safeguarding the high-quality development of foreign trade in the photovoltaic industry. The initiative mentioned that in order to seize market share, some enterprises take short-sighted behaviors such as exporting below cost price and vicious competition, which not only damages the overall interests of the industry, but also has a negative impact on the international reputation of China's photovoltaic industry. The China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Mechanical and Electrical Products resolutely resists all kinds of unfair competition behaviors such as exporting below cost price. The Chamber of Commerce issued the following proposals to the majority of photovoltaic enterprises: strictly abide by the principle of fair competition, conduct business activities in accordance with laws and regulations; reasonably control the pace of capacity expansion according to global market demand, and promote the clearance of backward production capacity in an orderly manner; focus on technological innovation and quality improvement, and promote the transformation of photovoltaic products from "scale advantage" to "quality advantage"; strengthen self-discipline and management awareness, and jointly abide by the "Self-discipline Convention on Foreign Trade Enterprises in the Photovoltaic Industry".
