On July 30 local time, the White House issued a statement saying that US President Trump signed an executive order suspending the minimum duty-free treatment of low-value goods. The statement said that starting from August 29, imported goods with a value equal to or less than $800 and originally eligible for the minimum duty-free will be subject to all applicable tariffs. For goods shipped through the international postal system, tariffs will be levied on the basis of ad valorem or specific taxes.
