On July 21 local time, the White House removed The Wall Street Journal from the press corps of Trump's trip to Scotland due to reports about Epstein. White House press secretary Carolyn Levitt said the decision was "due to the false and defamatory conduct of The Wall Street Journal", namely the newspaper's recent coverage of Trump and Jeffrey Epstein. Trump is scheduled to visit Scotland from July 25 to 29 and will meet with British Prime Minister Starmer. Previously, the White House banned AP reporters from the Oval Office, Mar-a-Lago Estate and "Air Force One" presidential plane for interviews due to naming issues in the "Gulf of Mexico".
