Former Binance CEO CZ took to social platforms to refute remarks by U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren. Warren previously warned that cryptocurrencies could "destroy" the U.S. economy and claimed that NYSE-listed companies could digitally evade SEC regulation, and that if Amazon, Meta or General Motors opted out, it would seriously damage the value of the NYSE.
CZ questioned the logic of Warren's attempt to limit U.S. companies to "protect the U.S. economy," noting that the NYSE is only a company wholly owned by ICE with a market capitalization of about $100 billion, while Amazon has a market capitalization of $2.40 trillion. He stressed: "NYSE does not equal the economy. All companies together make up the economy."
