NBA star Shaquille O'Neal has agreed to pay $1.80 million to settle a class action lawsuit over the promotion of bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX, a settlement subject to court approval.
Previously, the plaintiffs accused O'Neill of helping to promote unregistered securities by presenting FTX as a safe and legal platform at events and on social media. O'Neill has previously said he is just a "paid spokesperson" for FTX.
