On June 7th, Minister Wang Wentao held talks with Commissioner Sefcovic in Paris. The two sides held focused, frank and in-depth discussions on urgent and important issues such as the European Union's anti-subsidy case against China for electric vehicles, China's anti-dumping case against European Union brandy, and export control. They instructed the working teams of both sides to step up their efforts to make economic and trade preparations for the important agenda of China and the EU this year. On the issue of rare earth export control, Minister Wang Wentao further clarified China's export control policy to the European side, emphasizing that the implementation of export control on rare earths and other items is an international common practice.
