On June 7, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce said that on June 3, Minister Wang Wentao and Commissioner Sefcovic held talks in Paris. Minister Wang Wentao and Commissioner Sefcovic had professional and in-depth discussions on the electric vehicle case, which pushed the case to the right direction of proper settlement. At present, the consultation on the price commitment of the electric vehicle case between China and the EU has entered the final stage, but the efforts of both sides are still needed. The European side proposed that new technical paths can be explored at the same time, and the Chinese side will evaluate the feasibility of the European proposal from the legal and technical aspects. The two sides instructed the working level to step up efforts to find a mutually acceptable solution and properly resolve trade differences in a manner consistent with their respective legal provisions and WTO rules.
