The person involved in OneCoin, William Morro, has been arrested, according to court documents filed in the Southern District of New York. Prosecutors say Morro concealed the source of OneCoin-related funds by lying to the bank about the source of the funds. He was involved in transferring $35 million of OneCoin-related funds to an account in Hong Kong and about $6 million to an account in the United States.
Prosecutors eventually charged Mr. Morro with conspiracy to commit bank fraud, and Mr. Morro signed a statement agreeing "to drop criminal proceedings by indictment and to proceed by information, not indictment."
Another person involved in the OneCoin program has been arrested, and US prosecutors have filed charges against him
