On April 10, major Wall Street indexes rallied sharply on Wednesday after U.S. President Donald Trump said he would suspend new tariffs on most countries for 90 days. Affected by this, the S & P 500 rose more than 6% and is on track for its largest one-day gain since April 2020. The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) Market Volatility Index touched 57.96 earlier on Wednesday and has since fallen back below 40.00.
