The White House hired the wrong people to leak the top-secret plan to attack the Houthis

On March 25, according to the Guardian, senior members of Trump's cabinet (including the vice president, defense secretary, secretary of state, and director of national intelligence, among others) inadvertently pulled Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor of The Atlantic magazine, into a "group chat" called the Houthi PC Small Group while using the business chat app Signal to discuss secret U.S. military plans to attack the Houthis. Goldberg said he had removed sensitive material from his account, including the identity of a senior CIA official and current operational details. Brian Hughes, a spokesperson for the National Security Council, confirmed the report. Mr. Hughes added: "This shows deep and thoughtful policy co-ordination among senior officials. The continued success of the Houthi operation shows that there is no threat to the military or national security."
