Trump nominates several diplomatic envoys

US President-elect Donald Trump said on social media on December 21 local time that he nominated Tilman J. Fertitta, owner of the Houston Rockets and entertainment and real estate businessperson of the National Basketball League (NBA), as the US ambassador to Italy. Trump also said that he appointed Mark Burnett, a reality TV producer and former chairperson of MGM Television, as the special envoy for British affairs. It is reported that Burnett produced Trump's reality show "The Apprentice" and made Trump's name household name.
