Michael Saylor: Middle East could become "21st century Switzerland" if it embraces bitcoin

Michael Saylor told the Bitcoin MENA conference that the Middle East could become "the Switzerland of the 21st century" by embracing bitcoin-backed banking, credit and digital currencies. Calling the move an opportunity of up to $200 trillion, he recommended that sovereign wealth funds invest in bitcoin, banks host bitcoin and issue collateral credit, and launch BTC-backed digital currency products. Saylor also pointed out that the mainstream US regulatory and banking system is gradually accepting bitcoin as "digital gold".
