South Korean government asks to reassess cryptocurrency holding limits for government officials

South Korea's Ministry of Personnel Management has asked all government entities to reassess the implementation of restrictions on cryptocurrency holdings by government officials. Agencies must review their compliance and submit reports by Jan. 31. The ministry specifically emphasized that not only institutions dealing with virtual asset policies, drafting and enforcing regulations, but also those involved in promoting economic and industrial policies may be subject to restrictions on access to virtual asset information.
