特斯拉已在德克萨斯州获得网约车牌照，为这家电动汽车制造商根据该州自动驾驶汽车新规运营其自动驾驶出租车服务铺平道路。Tesla Robotaxi LLC现已被德州许可和监管部门列入持牌交通网络公司，加入Uber Technologies Inc.、Lyft Inc.等公司的行列。这项牌照已成必需，因为该州9月1日生效的新法对自动驾驶网约车实施的监管与人类司机驾驶网约车等同。
