Texas requires bitcoin miners using ERCOT to register and share key details of their facilities

Under rules adopted Nov. 21 by the Public Utilities Commission of Texas (PUCT), bitcoin miners must share the location, ownership information, and power needs of their facilities with state government entities. Miners have only one business day to register after their facilities are connected to the ERCOT grid, and must update on or before March 1 of each calendar year.
