Google has asked the U.S. Court of Appeals to overturn a lower court ruling on Epic Games' antitrust lawsuit that would have forced Google to allow third-party app stores and payment solutions to run through its app store, the Play Store. Epic sued Apple and Google respectively in August 2020, accusing them of unfairly restricting apps in their app stores to their payment system (taking a 30% commission on all purchases) and blocking the use of apps.
