Tabit Insurance, a bitcoin-backed global (re) insurance company founded by former Bittrex executives, today announced it has joined the Texas Blockchain Council ("TBC"), an industry association dedicated to driving blockchain innovation and policy development in Texas. Tabit will partner with TBC to provide investors in the region with knowledge of the intersection of digital assets and insurance, as well as how BTC holders can gain regulated benefits through insurance structures.
Bitcoin mining company Rhodium Enterprises has filed for voluntary bankruptcy under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas with up to $100 million in liabilities. The filing, filed Aug. 24, includes six subsidiaries - Rhodium Encore, Jordan HPC, Rhodium JV, Rhodium 2.0, Rhodium 10MW, and Rhodium 30MW.
