Instead of saying whether he was a hawk or a dove, Mr. Sleepen, the ECB's governing board member, said "price stability is my job". "The ECB has a very clear mandate, which is to stabilise prices," he said. "That is the most important thing for me and I am committed to monetary policy consistent with that."
