Bitcoin Rollup project Citrea said it has raised $14 million in a Series A funding round led by Peter Thiel's Founders Fund, with angel investors Erik Voorhees and Balaji Srinivasan also participating.
Citrea, which raised $2.70 million in seed funding in February in a round led by Galaxy, uses the BitVM computing paradigm designed to allow the use of Ethereum-style smart contracts on Bitcoin.
