Blockchain solar company Glow closed a $30 million funding round led by Framework and Union Square Ventures. Glow CEO and co-founder said Vorick plans to use the funding to scale the company from 5 trillion watts of electricity to 600 trillion watts and into new countries over the next 18 months.
To encourage farms on Glow, which operates a DePIN network of solar farms in the US and India, to move beyond the "dirty" energy grid, the founders designed a whole economy based on a subsidy and token incentive model.
