According to a filing with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) by social media site Reddit, the majority of the cryptocurrency portfolio was sold in the third quarter, including the sale of bitcoin and ethereum previously "used for financial reserves."
Reddit said: "We sold the majority of our cryptocurrency portfolio, primarily bitcoin and ethereum, and the net carrying value of our cryptocurrency holdings and the proceeds from the sale are irrelevant."
