HSBC is participating in Hong Kong's Electronic Hong Kong Dollar (e-HKD) pilot program by creating tokenized Hong Kong dollar cash deposits on the Polygon PoS blockchain. HSBC has also developed HSBC Pass, a decentralized identity solution that won the Red Dot Design Award 2024.
