The Optimism Fund agreed to fund Kraken with 25 million OP tokens, a deal finalised around January or February of this year that also paves the way for Kraken to use Optimism's OP Stack, which Kraken announced last week would build a two-layer network, Ink, on top of Optimism's OP Stack blockchain framework.
The tokens were worth about $100 million when they were traded earlier this year and are now worth about $42.50 million.
