On October 29, DePIN Layer1 protocol peaq announced that the release date of its token PEAQ will be November 12. PEAQ tokens have the following key functions in the peaq ecosystem:
Transaction fees: PEAQ tokens are used to cover all transaction fees on peaq.
Staking: PEAQ tokens enable users to set up validator nodes or support their preferred validators, and receive rewards for keeping the network running.
Governance: Future updates will enable PEAQ holders to vote through on-chain governance to jointly determine the future of PEAQ.
