Musk predicts that by next year or 2026, artificial intelligence (AI) may be smarter than the smartest humans. Musk was interviewed by Nicolai Tangen, CEO of Norway's sovereign wealth fund, on Monday. When asked about the development schedule of General Artificial Intelligence (AGI), Musk said, "If AGI is defined as being smarter than the smartest humans, I think it may be achieved next year, which is within two years." Google's AI company DeepMind co-founder Demis Hassabis predicted earlier this year that AGI is expected to be achieved by 2030.
