HSBC and Ant International Complete HK Dollar Interbank Blockchain Test Transaction under HKMA Ensemble Project

HSBC and Ant International today announced the successful completion of a HKD cross-bank test transaction under the Ensemble project sandbox of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. This is the first use case in the Ensemble sandbox trial to successfully implement a HKD cross-bank test transaction under the theme of liquidity management. The Ant International and HSBC use case combines the networks of HSBC and Hang Seng Bank with Ant International's Whale platform to support round-the-clock real-time cross-bank transfers, improve cost efficiency and reduce operating costs, leveraging blockchain technology, encryption technology and artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency and transparency of capital flows.
