Coinbase announced a partnership with the Canadian Football League, the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball League (NBA) and Nike's Melbourne Marathon Festival in an October announcement. According to Mike Kitts, the Warriors' chief commercial officer, the partnership with Coinbase aims to "build a fan base using blockchain technology". The cryptocurrency exchange has already struck deals with the Women's Basketball Association (WNBA), NBA, NBA G League and NBA 2K League.
