AgRural, an agricultural consultancy, said on Monday that as of Thursday, Brazil's 2024/25 soybean planting progress had reached 36% of the expected planting area, an increase of 18% from the previous week, due to improved weather conditions. "Despite a slight delay in planting progress compared to the previous year, the planting area increased by more than 8 million hectares (19.80 million acres) in one week," according to a statement issued by AgRural. In the same period last year, Brazil's soybean planting rate was 40%.
