On October 28th, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson recently discussed Bitcoin and BitcoinOS (BOS), a smart contract operating system designed for Bitcoin to provide advanced functionality and seamless interoperability. In a recent partnership announcement, Cardano joined forces with BOS to integrate Grail Bridge, thus establishing a connection between Cardano DeFi and Bitcoin's $1.30 trillion liquidity.
Hydra improves Cardano's transaction efficiency and reduces latency by processing processes off-chain, and it supports parallel transactions through "Hydra Heads" or state channels, enabling faster interactions. During the discussion, Hoskinson mentioned that developers have run the classic video game "Doom" on Hydra, and smart contracts verify in-game state changes. Hoskinson said: "Next we will try to get the Nintendo emulator to run on Hydra."
