Sophgo, an artificial intelligence company linked to Bitmain, said in a statement that it had never had any direct or indirect business relationship with Huawei and had provided TSMC with a detailed investigation report.
Previously, it was reported that the US Department of Commerce launched an investigation into TSMC earlier this month to confirm whether it provided chips to Huawei, and then TSMC stopped supplying chips to Sophgo, an artificial intelligence company affiliated with Bitmain.
