Metaplanet, a Japanese-listed investment company, announced that it will use the "BTC yield" as its Key Performance Indicator, which was first introduced by Nasdaq-listed Micro Strategy in the United States. The company believes that the indicator can be used to supplement investors' understanding of the company's decision to finance the purchase of bitcoin by issuing additional common shares or instruments that can be converted into common shares.
Metaplanet disclosed that from July 1, 2024 to September 30, 2024, the company's BTC yield was 41.7%. From October 1, 2024 to October 25, 2024, the company's BTC yield was 116.4%.
